This is the second post in a series that introduces and explains some of the different Kiwi groups & organisations that exist in the Netherlands to support New Zealanders and New Zealand business.

Are you a Kiwi business exporting into the Netherlands? You might not know it, but there’s an organization designed to support you to grow your business more successfully here.

New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (also known as NZTE) is the New Zealand Government’s international business development agency. They exist to support and advocate on behalf of New Zealand exporters around the world, as part of an effort to build and sustain a strong, innovative economy.

How can they help you? The first step is about understanding your business, its level of maturity  and its goals in the Netherlands. With a small team covering this market, they can connect you to a network of local experts, support you to understand the regulatory environment locally, and bring you into larger New Zealand-driven initiatives for specific industries – such as food & beverage, technology or agriculture.

Depending on the size of your business, its ambitions and how fast you’re growing, you might also be able to access tailored support from a local account manager. This support can range from designing initial market entry strategies, to understanding how to operate and grow more efficiently in the Dutch market.

Sound like it could be useful for you? Check out the NZTE website to find out more about their mission and services. To get in touch with a team based in the Netherlands, see the most up to date contact details on NZTE’s UK & Europe page.
